Judge's Night 2022 

Thanks to everyone for making our annual Judge’s Night a resounding success again! After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Judge’s Night returned on June 9th with a sell-out crowd.  Approximately 350 Judges and Greek attorneys and philhellenes attended the National Hellenic Museum to enjoy each other’s company and honor our award winners.  
 
The night belonged to Justice Mary K. Rochford of the Illinois Appellate Court First District who was honored with the Socrates Dikastes Award.  The Socrates Dikastes Award is given to a member of the judiciary who embodies the principles identified by the famous Greek philosopher, Socrates, "Four things belong to a judge: to hear courteously, to answer wisely, to consider soberly, and to decide impartially." The Socrates Dikastes Award is an opportunity for the HBA to recognize the most deserving judge and applaud their accomplishments on the bench. We also honored two of our own Greek judges who recently retired. The Hon. George Bakalis and Hon. Nicholas Geanopoulos were acknowledged for their decades of service on the bench and were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards.    
 
The return of Judge’s Night brought another exceptional opportunity for HBA members to mingle at the pinnacle bench and bar event of the year.  The event could not have been the success it was without our sponsors.
